Summary: Anchor is a parenting support app. Use it responsibly, respect others, and understand that while we strive to help, we're not a substitute for professional advice. By using Anchor, you agree to these terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using the Anchor application (published on the app stores as DadAnchor; the "App") and related services ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Anchor is a digital parenting companion designed to provide:
- A daily personalized reel of parenting insight (Compass)
- In-the-moment Repair guidance for hard parenting moments and reconnection afterward
- Personalized profiles of your child and your parenting dynamic (Attune)
- Skills programs, chat, and age-appropriate developmental guidance
The Service is intended for adult parents and caregivers. Anchor is not designed for use by children.
3. Account Registration
To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
4. Free Service
Anchor is currently provided without a subscription, trial, or in-app purchase. We may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service in the future, but we will not charge you without a separate, explicit purchase flow and any consent required by the app store and applicable law.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the Service to harm, threaten, or harass others
- Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on others' rights
6. User Content
You retain ownership of content you create within the App (such as notes, chat messages, and the details you share about your family). By using the Service, you grant Anchor a limited license to store and process this content solely to provide and improve the Service.
You are responsible for the content you create and must ensure it does not violate any laws or these Terms.
7. AI-Generated Content
Anchor uses artificial intelligence to generate personalized content. You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated content is provided for informational and supportive purposes only
- AI responses may not always be accurate or appropriate for your specific situation
- You should use your own judgment when applying any suggestions
- AI content does not constitute professional advice
8. Not Professional Advice
Important: Anchor is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or legal advice. The Service provides general parenting support and information only.

9. Privacy
Your privacy matters to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
10. Intellectual Property
The Anchor and DadAnchor names, logo, App design, and all related content are owned by Anchor and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
11. Third-Party Services
The Service may integrate with or link to third-party services (such as authentication providers and AI providers). Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and policies. Anchor is not responsible for third-party services.
12. Service Availability
We strive to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
13. Modifications to Service
We may modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue any part of the free Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.
14. Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, abuse cost-bearing features, or engage in conduct that harms the Service or other users.
15. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, be error-free, or be available at all times.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Anchor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Anchor from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
